Environment

Earth Freq is committed to finding ways to minimise our impact, and to create positive outcomes from our event. We encourage you to share this initiative and help us show respect to the land in which we gather.

Our current environmental initiatives include:
  • $1 per head donated to the wilderness society for their amazing work.
  • In most areas of management, we operate as a paperless production.
  • Our promotional material and other printed material is made with recycled paper.
  • We encourage car-pooling to minimise the carbon footprint of the event - a forum has been set up to assist people wishing to car-pool. Visit the car pooling forum.
  • Food stalls are required to avoid using plastics and styrofoam, and encouraged to use recycled/bio-degradable materials for all food and drinks sold at Earth Freq
  • Bins are positioned everywhere onsite, and when arriving onsite you will be provided with garbage bags, clear bags for re-cycling, and portable ashtrays.
We are currently forming our sustainablity plan for the 2011 event, and will be announcing  more details soon. We hope to continue and further improve our environment and sustainability practices and we welcome your feedback, ideas and participation. Pease contact us at info [at] earthfreq [dot] com if you have anything to share.

While onsite at the event, we urge you all to consider the beautiful environment we are able to gather and dance in, and treat it kindly. Please:
  • Be mindful of what you bring to the event and try to create as little waste as possible.
  • Use the bins provided in the event areas.
  • If you are a smoker, please use a portable ashtray - you can get these at the door or the Info Tent.
  • Use the recycling facilities provided.
  • Where possible, take your campsite rubbish home with you.
  • Do not bring anything onsite you are not prepared to take home - (camping gear, seats, couches, kitchen sinks etc
  • Only camp in the designated areas.
