If you want to be involved in Earth Freq 2011, you need to submit an Online Application.
Online applications are the only means of expressing interest to be part of the event.
You may email us with specific enquiries, but you will still need to submit an online application.
If you have something else to offer, such as core crewing, production/equipment or structures, we're always keen to hear what's on offer - please email us at info [at] earthfreq [dot] com with details.
Performers
Performer Applications cover everything from bands, djs, live acts, vjs, decor artists, workshop and lecture presenters, performers, installation artists and anything else creative for the event. You will need to enter all the required information, and include as much support material as possible - photos, bio, demo recordings etc. If you have multiple acts/personas/concepts to apply for, please submit an application for each one, but make note of your other applications when doing so.
- Music Perfomer applications are open until October 24.
- All other Performer applications are open until December 31.
- Confirmations will be sent out as soon as possible, so if your application is unsuccessful, you will still have time to apply as a volunteer if you want to be part of the event in this way.
Volunteers
Earth Freq is grateful for the amazing help offered by our volunteers each year! Volunteering is a great way to be part of making the event happen and to meet other people behind the scenes. Volunteer positions range from working at the front gate, site office, site beautification team, kid's space etc. You can apply for multiple positions and indicate your preferences. We give preference to previous volunteers and those with prior experience, but all are welcome to apply and be part of the event in this way.
- Volunteer applications are open until December 31.
- Confirmations will be sent out in in early January.
Market Stalls
What would a festival be without yummy food and interesting crafts and wares?
Each year our Markets Area grows in size and variety, and we welcome you to apply to be part of the Earth Freq Markets Area. Details of the options for stall size and cost are included in the application form, and we ask you to provide comprehensive information about your power requirements and stall specifications so we can create a smooth running Markets Area.
- Market Stall applications are open until December 31.
- Confirmations will be sent out in in early January.
Market Stall Applications will open in September.
Online Applications make the process of selecting and communicating with performers, volunteers and market stalls much easier, and allow participants of the event to provide us with up to date information to be used in the selection process and promotion of the event. If you are submitting an application for performance or for a market stall, the information relating to your act may be used in the website, so make sure that what you submit is current and accurate.
You will need to upload some images during your application. The image specifications are outlined near the upload tool. The easiest way to upload an image is take an image already on the web .. perhaps from your facebook or myspace.. as these images will be a reasonable size and quick to upload. If you are uploading an image taken from a camera, be mindful of the image size - hi-res images can get quite large and take a while to upload. If your images are too big (taken straight from a camera), or the wrong format - check out these free online tools to pre-process your images so they can be uploaded in your application.
If you are applying as a dj / live act / band, you will need to provide some sound samples. One of the best ways to do this is to set up a Sound Cloud account - which lets you host your music for free. Please make sure that the music samples/mixes that you upload are downloadable so we can check them out.
The Online Applications System should work in any web browser, but we do reccommend using
FireFox as it is the best browser in terms of standards compliance.
If you experience any issues using the online applications, please email us at support [at] website [dot] com
